Frank Falenczyk (Ben Kingsley) is a hit man for the Polish mob in Buffalo, New York. While he loves his job, he loves the bottle even more. However, when his drinking starts interfering with family business, he's sent to to San Francisco to dry out, where he meets a kooky AA sponsor (Luke Wilson) and a potential girlfriend (Téa Leoni). Life is good on the West Coast until more urgent matters force him to return home.
