Emerson Thorsen (Aaron Webber) is a precocious 13-year-old who has been home schooled his whole life by his two hippie parents. But, they eventually send him to a public junior high where Emerson promptly develops a crush on his English teacher (Daniel MacIvor) who isn't sure how to handle the teen's affection.
