In 1984, Manu (Johan Libéreau) is a young man new to Paris who becomes friends with a rich doctor (Michel Blanc) and another couple, Sarah and Mehdi (Emmanuelle Béart, Sami Bouajila). Although they are all initially happy just hanging out with each other, an unexpected romance breaks out that is then further complicated by the onset of the AIDS virus, which threatens to drive the foursome apart forever.
