A college freshman, Sydney (Amanda Bynes), decides to pledge at her mother's respectable old sorority, but is horrified to discover that the organization has degenerated into the female equivalent of Animal House. Hooking up with seven socially inept classmates, Sydney instead pledges to bring honor and respect back to the college campus.
