This modern-day update of the classic story of The Devil and Daniel Webster has a failed writer, Jabez Stone (Alec Baldwin), sell his soul to Satan (Jennifer Love Hewitt) for a successful literary career. However, when the deal isn't all it's cracked up to be, Jabez asks for help from a powerful attorney, Daniel Webster (Anthony Hopkins), to weasel out of it. This is also Alec Baldwin's directorial debut.
