When Isaac Knott (Nick Stahl) was a young boy, he was in a car accident that killed his parents and left him confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. As an adult, he hosts a public radio show, and one night, he hears a story about a man with two good legs who attempts to bribe a doctor to cut off one of them. Investigating the story, Isaac discovers a strange subset of normally-abled people who desperately desire to become disabled.
