Six tortured souls try to find their keys to personal salvation in this ensemble drama. Dan (Lambert Wilson) is a soldier drowning his memories of war with alcohol and whose fiancée (Laura Morante) stands by him through his difficulties. Plus, a lonely single girl (Isabelle Carré) is unable to find Mr. Right while her brother (André Dussollier) futilely pines for his sexy co-worker (Sabine Azéma). Meanwhile, a bartender (Pierre Arditi) is forced to put his life on hold while he cares for his dying dad (Claude Rich).
