Simon Kessler (Mathieu Amalric) is a psychologist who works for a multinational petrochemical corporation. One day Simon is ordered to secretly investigate the company's CEO, Mathias Just (Michael Lonsdale), whom some believe is slowly losing his mind. While trying to surreptitiously get close to Mathias to study him, Simon uncovers a conspiracy that ties the modern corporation to the Third Reich.
