This documentary about the events surrounding the controversial 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago combines archival footage and animated re-creations of its most notorious participants. Although demonstrators were denied permits to picket the political gathering, they gathered anyway in the Windy City and found themselves brutally assaulted by the police. Eight of the most vocal activists were then put on trial in a media sideshow. Events in the courtroom are brought to life using actual court transcripts and clever animation. Hank Azaria, Mark Ruffalo, Dylan Baker and Jeffrey Wright provide the voices for activists Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, David Dellinger and Bobby Seale.
