Adam (Ulrich Thomsen) is a middle-aged neo-Nazi who is sentenced to work for Ivan (Mads Mikkelsen) the town vicar as a form of community service. Ivan puts Adam to work tending to an apple tree on the church property that is constantly under attack from crows, maggots and other forces of nature.
